Denver Drug Sale Defense Lawyer

Colorado Drug Distribution Defense Lawyer

In Colorado, it is illegal to distribute, intend to distribute or help distribute controlled substances or to transport them into the United States ("drug trafficking"). Controlled substances include cocaine, heroin, LSD, methamphetamine and prescription drugs.

Possession of a large amount of drugs (more than so-called "personal use") will often carry charges of Possession With Intent to Distribute Drugs, a felony charge. So, even if the police do not observe or participate in a hand-to-hand transaction, you can still be charged with a felony for "intent to sell" drugs based on the weight or quantity of drugs in your possession.

Drug sale cases are all felonies in Colorado and persons charged with such crimes can face stiff penalties, including prison terms, for first arrests.
